    Bonjour Froncois,

I'm, glad you are bringing this up as effective marketing is important to bringing awareness of our mission and bringing on new members. Do you have a view on how we could more effectively use social media? To be honest I'm less interested in the specific tools within any specific platform and more interested in how we would use the right platform based on our target demographics and how we would translate that into lead generation for membership. And ultimately how we can close new members based on the great value that the organization brings.

We really don't have a marketing strategy that I am aware of so I think this is carte blanche.

I think it would be good for Rob to outline is views on the topic as well.

    Bonjour Christian,

Thanks for your questions and comments. I agree with you, a global marketing strategy must be designed with a heavy focus on social media. As the Publicity Officer I would create three "buyer" personas after consulting with the group and the executive committee and create a plan to attract each category. I would invest in paid advertising using some of the content that the group already generates - video, quotes, invitations to events, etc. I would also create a campaign highlighting the various member benefits. I would emulate what other influential groups are currently doing on social media. They are sharing inspirational testimonials, quotes, video snippets and making special offers for new members. Using hashtags and tagging influencers, connecting with influencers and creating content that social media users want to share in their stories and profiles. I would like to highlight what the Cash Flow Tribe is doing on Facebook. They are attracting a ton of new members with a 14 day free trial period, tons of content with some paid and some free. We could do something similar and target prospects using the powerful analytics tools that each social media platform offers. Thanks again, François

    Dear OREIO members,

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some of my ideas to raise awareness and improve the publicity for OREIO.

In this post I would like to focus on Instagram. I plan on using the Action Takers segments and repurpose them into Instagram stories. This would increase our members’ exposure and create some buzz around OREIO at little to no cost. Another great idea would be to have some more live content and interviews, sharing what our members are doing. We could re-share podcasts where appropriate, etc.

Also, some sponsored content on Instagram would help us reach out to a younger demographic and to increase attendance at both live and virtual events. Regular posting of investment tips and tricks and a more consistent presence on Instagram would make OREIO stand out and be more present.

Here's a sample Instagram account that I used to manage:

    Tomorrow I will discuss Facebook.

    Happy investing!
