Stephen Magneron
Stephen is passionate about energy efficient, sustainable, and affordable construction and renovation. He graduated in 2008 as valedictorian from Algonquin College’s 2-year Construction Carpentry – Advanced Housing program at its Heritage Institute in Perth, ON, then worked as a carpenter for an award winning, green-minded construction and renovation company serving the Ottawa area for 2 years before joining Homesol in 2010.
He has since attained credentials as Master Energy Advisor (MEA) for Mult-Unit Residential Buildings (MURB), ENERGY STAR for New Homes, EnerGuide, R-2000, and Net Zero, and has evaluated over 5,000 new and existing homes for these NRCan programs, including over 200 Net Zero labelled homes. He is a Qualified NZ Trainer.
As a Certified Passive House Consultant for Phius and the Passive House Institute (PHI) Stephen has been the lead consultant or Rater/Verifier for several certified projects.
He is a member of the Canadian Association of Consulting Energy Advisors (CACEA).
